Conversion Line Ready for Shipment

Globe Machine

Globe Machine is pleased to announce the pending completion and subsequent shipment of a multiple component siding line for a major building products manufacturer in central Canada.  The customer has chosen to convert a previous OSB plant into a mill which will produce SmartSide brand wood siding for the residential, industrial, and light-commercial construction sectors in the USA and Canada.  Shipment from Globe Machine is now in progress, and will continue throughout July.

Tissue Manufacturer Orders Roll Handling System

Globe Machine Manufacturing is pleased to announce a new order for a Tissue Roll Handling System slated for a major tissue manufacturer in the Southeast Region USA. The system features robotic labeling and core handling. It is also the first system of its kind with no hydraulics and a completely electro pneumatic design. Other features include our state of the art electric cradle upender with right angle flow and above floor design that does not require pits.

Peggy Malnati reports on the future of the RapidClave system quoting Cal Bamford, Jr. and Gary Lownsdale's optimism and plans for the future of RapidClave technology.  Lownsdale speaks of... faster heat transfer and tighter process control, which, in turn, expands the types of materials that can be processed. “Now we can work with the full range of epoxy resins — even snap-cure systems, which we couldn’t use before because we didn’t have fast-enough heat input or precise enough control over the heat cycle."  Read more
